new favorite word:  chillax

first time I saw this word was on Jiyoon's xanga

sentence using this word:  "I'm done with tests, so I can chillax a little more... "

or   "I think I'll chillax in Tulsa for a few days and then go ski con mis padres"

This is not a real entry.  I just thought that 2 pages of comments was way too many.

Kevi brought up a very elusive discussion in one of her xangas.  This is an excerpt:

"Of my last 4 meals, 3 have been breakfast. well, only one has been breakfast, but you know what I mean. and I realized while eating my omelet for dinner, that I don't understand why certain foods have been relegated to breakfast, when they are equally delicious for any meal. Like chocolate chip pancakes, they shouldn't be confined to the morning hours, that's ridiculous. any theories?"

I was actually just revisiting that disturbing topic in my mind the other day.  Why is it disturbing you may ask?  I'll tell you why.

Breakfast is a time when food is eaten or a reference to one's first meal of the day.  The fact that some people refer to certain types of foods as "breakfast" shows how we as a society generally strive to conform rather than think for ourselves.

Anybody who actually thought with their own free will would inevitably see that classifying certain foods or types of foods as "breakfast" has no basis and is only a lineage of thought passed down by an originating person that ate that type of food for breakfast.

(Note:  "breakfast" with quotes refers to a misuse of the word breakfast.)

It is time that we stop trying to participate in ridiculous behavior just to fit in.  Strive for honor and intelligence, not conformity.  Amen.
